A Report on ‘Project Boond’
Every country in the world today is very aware of the importance of the natural resource ‘water’ and its utility in our daily activities that keeps the Earth going round & alive. Undertaking the issue of ‘Water’ as a project, in the form of ‘Project Boond’ the D.A.V Public School, East of Loni Road, participated in various activities that were organized at the call by the D.A.V Managing Committee involving all the D.D.V schools of Delhi, as a part of the ‘water cooperation year’ that is being celebrated in 2013, all over the world.
In our school the activities organized for students of various classes included the following:-
1. Slogan Writing (on Save Extra Water- Save Life) - held on 16.1.13 for class VI.
2. Placard making (with Slogans based on water) - held on 17.1.13 for class VIII.
3. Poetry Recitation Competition (on Topic- Importance of water) - held on 19.1.13 for class V.
4. Write tips on how to save water- held on 19.1.13 for class VII.
                                    &
5. Book Mark Making.
6. Nukkad Natak – held on 19.1.13 for class IX.
7. Power Point Presentation on ‘Problems of water pollution & its solution’ – held on 19.1.13 for class  
     XI.
8. Songs & Jingles – held on 21.1.13 by class III.
9. Painting competition – held on 21.1.13 for class IV.
The participation of the students & concerned teachers was full of the spirit of enthusiasm & complete involvement in the theme of water. Related to the theme, the teachers & students submitted an acrylic painting on canvas on 10th January, 2013.
On 19th January, 2013 about 100 students from our school took active part in the Human- Chain- Formation Programme at Rajghat from 10:30 am to 12:30 noon, holding placards, slogans & banners on water conservation.
The ‘Project Boond’ taken up as a mass- awareness programme by the D.A.V VCMC proved to be highly effective & a grand success as all the D.A.V students, teachers & high officials joined hands to make it carry the message across, far & wide in the city.
