Peek –a- boo in the Animal World
Visit to the National Zoological Park

On 11th February 2013, the students of Preschool, Pre-primary & Class 1 had an amazing experience at the National Zoological Park, Delhi
When the students reached the zoo, they jumped with joy & took up their bags hurriedly.
They stood in queue with curiosity & enthusiasm to enjoy the battery operated shuttle car ride, which took the kids for animal gazing. The kids had an enjoyable experience of sitting in the battery car. The car first stopped near the enclosure for the Black buck. It left them astonished to see the beautiful & rare species of the Deer. Our next stop was the enclosure for lions. The students shouted at the lion as they wanted to hear it roaring & suddenly it did actually roar. The children started screaming with excitement & running back to their battery car, hearing it roar.
The other animals they enjoyed watching included the Rhinoceros, the Reindeer, the White tiger, Hippopotamus, Giraffe, Swan & a number of birds like Indian parrot, the White peacock, White pigeon, & Macaw which were all amazing.
The students got an opportunity for observing the animal world very closely and it stimulated their interest in knowing them better.
After the animal watching, they all had a ravishing lunch.
The visit taught children to have compassion and empathy for their furry, feathered, and finned friends & that it is vital for preventing cruelty to animals as well as in raising them to respect and treat those who are different from them with kindness. Also, it helps them learn to value one another — and it prevents violence.
It also inculcated the positive values of loving our fellow creatures on this beautiful planet Earth.
