WORLD EARTH DAY
On 26th April, 2013, students of pre- primary celebrated the Earth Day in the school. On this occasion, the importance of Earth Day i.e. It is celebrated to create awareness amongst we people, to protect our mother Earth & stop polluting it & to preserve its resources. Students also went out in the garden accompanying their class teachers for a nature walk. Later, a drawing activity was conducted in the class where they painted beautiful trees, plants & river on paper which was later displayed on the display board. PowerPoint presentation on how to protect the earth was also shown to the students. Also, few of the students came forward and shared their ideas with the class.
(Earth day is celebrated on 22nd April every year, & was first celebrated in US on 22nd April, 1970)
The day long activity was organized to make the students more responsible & to make them aware about their responsibilities towards our planet Earth.
