INVESTITURE CEREMONY
AT
 D.A.V. PUBLIC SCHOOL, EAST OF LONI ROAD, DELHI -93

On 15th July 2013, the D.A.V Public School, East of Loni Road, celebrated its Investiture Ceremony. During the ceremony, the members of the new students’ council for the session 2013-2014 formally took over the charges of responsibilities from their seniors and the members of the previous students’ council. It was once again a time to remember that ‘power’ is not to command or dominate but to uplift the organization by joining hands and shoulders to carry out responsibilities.
With Ritika and Mahima Gupta of XI A at the podium, the ceremony began as the prefectorial team was introduced and all the prefects went forward in a march past and returned to the stage. The march past was followed by the distribution of badges and placing of the sashes by our madam Principal Mrs. Sameeksha Sharma on the persons of the Head boy- Nitin Malik and Head girl- Sonali Tomar of class XII. Badges with their post were also given away by the house in-charges and other members of teaching staff to the vice head boy and vice head girl and the in charges for discipline, co-curricular activities, sports and technology.
Badges were also given to the house captains, vice captain, environment captains, technical captains, sports captains, discipline captains and co- curricular captains from the four houses.
Class prefects were then announced from classes IV to XII and badges were handed over to them.
Initiated by madam principal, the new member s of the students’ council took the oath pledging their best service to the noble cause of the school.
The Head Girl Sonali Tomar and Head boy Nitin Jain of class XII promised to abide by the rules and regulations of the school. They also promised to initiate a drama club in the near future and to help the teachers and students in running the affairs of the school smoothly and with excellence and to raise themselves to the expectations of one and all.
At the end of the programme madam principal in an inspiring speech, blessed the new members, wishing them the best and urging the students to team up with the new leaders in achieving the goals. The ceremony came to an end with the National Anthem.
